Annual Health Insurance Coverage for U.S. Sailing Members
The health insurance specialists at Brown & Brown are proud to offer the Sailors Health Insurance Program — an annual health plan designed specifically for sailors and their nautical lifestyles, available to qualifying U.S. Sailing members.
This plan provides worldwide and domestic coverage, quick access to doctors and hospitals, English-speaking customer service and a seamless, paperless claims process.

Eligibility for U.S. Sailing Members
To qualify for the Sailors Health Insurance Program, you must have a current U.S. Sailing membership.
Eligible members include:
- Certified U.S. Sailing instructors and coaches
- Collegiate sailing athletes
- U.S. Olympic Sailing Team members
- Professional crew and captains
- Professional sailors
- International cruisers

How to Enroll in the Sailors Health Insurance Program
Open Enrollment for U.S. Sailing Members (July 1 – August 31)
During the annual Open Enrollment period, you can enroll online for a September 1 policy start date. Enrollment is open annually between July 1 and August 31.
Enrollment at Other Times of the Year
Enrollment may be available outside of the Open Enrollment period for qualifying life events. Please email the Sailors Health Insurance Program team to inquire.
