Brown & Brown Names New Co-Leaders for Life and Executive Benefits Group

Elgin, IL and Charlotte, NC, August 20, 2026 – Brown & Brown today named Managing Directors Dan Aceti and Scott Richardson as the Practice Co-Leaders for its Life and Executive Benefits group. Both will report to John Greenbaum, Senior Vice President, Retail. Dan and Scott will be responsible for continuing the growth and success of the company’s Life and Executive Benefits offerings under a unified Brown & Brown practice.

Dan Aceti, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, brings more than 35 years of insurance industry experience to his new role. During this time, he has served the insurance needs of corporations, hospitals, universities, and thousands of individuals throughout the United States. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he served as Managing Director of Executive Benefits, Inc., a firm he founded in 2003 and later sold to Risk Strategies (now Brown & Brown). He also held positions at NFP as a senior consultant for its executive benefits group and as a general agent at MassMutual Financial Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in finance degree from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Scott Richardson, based in Elgin, Illinois, is also an insurance industry veteran of more than 35 years. Scott has built significant relationships with bank and credit union regulatory agencies and was involved in the development of customized benefit plans and BOLI placements for hundreds of banks and credit unions throughout the country. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he served as Managing Director of IZALE Financial Group, a firm he founded in 2011 and later sold to Risk Strategies (now part of Brown & Brown). Scott has a law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law (formerly William Mitchell College of Law).
